History of Paredise Alley Project

Over the past 15 years, we have undertaken various projects to eradicate pests and restore the flora and fauna including:
1. Digging out large tracts of wild ginger;
2. Filling eroded areas and creating a rock lined water course to prevent continuing soil erosion;
3. Release and spraying of morning glory and jasmine;
4. Brush cutting to control weed proliferation.
Our past efforts to control weeds have been disheartening - hours of hard work for little ongoing benefit. We have learned a huge amount in recent months by working with Mary Stewart (Biosecurity) and Richard Webster and his team from Remnant Restoration.
