Today the Environment Aotearoa 2019 report was released by the Ministry for the Environment and Stats NZ. This report highlights the most pressing environmental issues Aotearoa is facing.
We are proud to be an Action Partner as part of the report’s launch. The Ministry for the Environment recognises the important mahi we do at Nature Space that is making a difference to our environment. The pressures that our environment is facing require all of us to join the conversation and take action where ever we can.
"Environment Aotearoa 2019 clearly shows that we are facing some pretty challenging environmental issues across the whole country – in our towns and cities, rivers and oceans. The choices we make from here will determine the kind of environment we create for our children and mokopuna. It is up to us. We need every one of us thinking about the environmental impact of every choice that we make every day, and doing what is within our power to make change – whether that is in a boardroom, in a Minister’s office, on a farm, or at home.
I urge every New Zealander not to wait for someone else to do something, but to get out and do something for the environment today."
Vicky Robertson, Secretary for the Environment
We are committed to facing these shared challenges. This report emphasises why it is important we all do what we and get involved. Read the Summary Report here.
