North Shore Forest & Bird and Auckland Council Arbor Day Community Planting 09.06.2013                                                                                          The plan was to plant 5000 trees on the wet area just below Arahia Street at Tuff crater. This event was organised by the Council with Forest & Bird members and the Kids Conservation Club (KCC) helping too. It had rained heavily in the night and so this normally damp area throughout most of the year soon became  a mud bath which the children and some adults seem to enjoy.

A BBQ was supplied by the Council as a reward for everyones hard work    .
