Rivers, streams and lakes

Friends of Greendale Reserve

The project is to revegetate about 4 hectares of run-down land along a stream, in a semi-rural area. The aims are to increase the beauty of the area, the number and biodiversity of plants, birds, fish and invertebrates.
The reserve will form part of a bird corridor between the hills and the Waikanae River.
Tuis and wood pigeons are regularly seen in the reserve. Kakariki and NZ falcon have been seen at times.

Trelissick Park Group

Trelissick Park Group (TPG) works in conjunction with Wellington City Council (WCC) and Greater Wellington Regional Council (GW), restoring Trelissick Park to a native bush wilderness.
