Mt Victoria Bush Regeneration Group

We are a group of local Mt Victorians who look after a patch of regenerating bush on the northern slope of Mt Victoria. We meet once a month for plant care, and during winter plant natives.

Last Sunday of every month at 10am meet at the map on Moeller meadow off Moeller-Palliser Road entrance to Mt Vic town belt. Let us know if you are coming

A highlight in the last year was getting some steps in the slippery slope by the gum tree and these have planted up well with our great wet summer of 2017. A much more user friendly place.

Longview Environmental Trust

Longview Environmental Trust is a Lake Wanaka based trust focussing on native revegetation and restoration, pest control, education and sustainable building. Projects to date include: the planting of over 100,000 natives, intensive pest control programmes, pine tree removal, wetland restoration and school group education days.

Upper Clutha Conservation Network

Welcome to the Upper Clutha Conservation Network. Following on from the Community Conservation Forum held in Wanaka in May 2014, this network is for groups, individuals and landowners undertaking conservation restoration work in the Upper Clutha region. From the feedback generated at this meeting we identified that there are opportunities for collaboration, information sharing and development at a more operational level to be explored. Objectives of the network:
• To identify ways the conservation groups can work together to exchange information and to create synergies

Marunui Conservation

Marunui Conservation manages a 423ha property on the southern slopes of the Brynderwyn Hills near Mangawhai. The company was founded for conservation purposes and seeks to protect, enhance and celebrate the natural, historical, visual and recreational values of the land. The entire area is covered by a QE II National Trust open space covenant which includes the requirement to protect the indigenous flora and fauna in perpetuity.

Brooklyn Trail Builders

Group of volunteers building mountain biking and walking tracks, and planting trees, in the Polhill Reserve, George Denton Park and Te Kopahou Reserve, south of Wellington's Brooklyn, Aro Valley and Highbury suburbs. Goal of improving access and ecological value of these areas. Affiliated to the Wellington Mountainbike Club and working alongside the Wellington City Council.
