Fauna surveys are one of the more exciting tasks that we get to do here at wildlands. These surveys monitor the abundance and distribution of a wide range of spieces including invertebrates, fish, lizards, birds, bats and pest animals and are used to assess the biodiversity values of our special places.
Many of the wildlands staff have special expertise with New Zealand fauna and this week we discuss some of the methods we use to monitor these awesome animals
