Ecosystem:
The Kaipatiki Project Environment Centre is about connecting people to the environment - our work spreads Auckland-wide. Started by one woman in 1998, we are passionate about protecting and enhancing native bush, and educating the community to care for their environment. We specialise in practical, hands-on courses for all ages focusing on native plant propagation, edible gardening, healthy living, composting and waste minimisation. Our native plant nursery can produce around 20,000 new native plants a year which are grown with volunteer help from seeds collected locally. Kaipatiki Project offers a diverse range of volunteering opportunities both in the nursery and restoring local native bush.
